With many hours of editing and annoying photo backing-up and downloading, I have finally created my new website! This new site is a fresh start to get motivated again to do what I love and really start focusing on how I want my business to grow in the future.
One of the biggest things I've always wanted to do was start a blog, but being a relatively normal (and slightly boring) person, I always told myself no one would want to read about my life. With my business growing and all the time I'm putting into this website, I figured I may as well try it out...and maybe someone will find interest in it.
In order to keep this updated, I've created a weekly project to get out taking pictures and trying new things in order to continue growing as a photographer. I wrote photo ideas or techniques on pieces of paper and each week one will be drawn from a jar. During that week, I'll do a shoot that incorporates whatever is on the paper. Some of these "picture prompts" are simple, while others will push me out of my comfort zone (and I may regret those ones), all with the purpose of focusing on photography aspects that I don't tend to think about or have never gotten around to doing. At the end of the week, I'll post the pictures and talk a little about what I learned from shooting during the sessions. I'm excited to see what this project will bring this coming semester and how I'll grow as a photographer through it!
Along with this weekly project, other updates will include any sessions I do as part of my business, school projects, and just fun things I shoot along the way. Thank you for taking this journey with me, and I hope you enjoy it too!
