Boys + Bathrooms | Pattern Magazine in Indianapolis, Indiana

This shoot has been hiding on my hard drives for the past few months waiting for the release of Pattern’s fall issue before it made an online appearance. Volume 14 came out this weekend (and I haven’t even seen it yet) but I’m so excited to see my editorial work printed out for the first time on the big pages. If you don’t get the chance to snag a copy for yourself, here are some of my favorite picks from the shoot!

Huge thank you to everyone involved and for letting me bring your vision to life! This was one of the weirdest, yet creative shoots I’ve done and definitely not something I would have thought up by myself. Y’all are great at what you do!

Summer Wedding Inspiration

Wedding season is in full bloom and I am so excited for the next couple months because I'll be doing back to back to back weddings through August + September! As much as I love capturing raw love and emotions, sometimes it's nice to be able to plan everything just the way you want it (without actually having to get married!)

Last month I had the amazing opportunity to put together this stylized shoot for Pattern Magazine! I honestly thought it wouldn't come together -- I kept having to push the date back, vendors kept changing due to the scheduling issues, and we literally found a venue the day before. Buuuut everything came through perfectly and I'm so so so in love with the final results!! I've said this so many times, but I'm so blessed to be a part of Pattern and have the opportunity to work with creatives in the Indy area. Everyone who touched this shoot is extremely talented and I was so lucky to have all of them on board!

So here are some of my favorite shots from the day! You can find all the vendors + models (along with their social media) at the end of this post!

A huge thank you again to everyone who made this photoshoot come together. I am so grateful to have the platform to create these projects and have so many creatives bringing their own twists to it. Young, Wild, and Free

Bring out the sparklers, wave the American flags, and hit repeat on Lana Del Rey's "American", it's the 4th of July!

This year I was inspired to do a more subtle America-styled shoot, so I pulled out my old Glamour Kills military jacket (I knew it would come in handy again one day), found a $4 (yes $4??!!) stars and stripes bralette at Plato's Closet that fit perfectly with my theme, bought some smoke bombs (because you always need smoke bombs), and did a shoot at 8:30 a.m. to try to beat the heat (it ended up being full sunlight that felt like 100˚ but it's fine).

Huge thank you to Aubrey for tolerating the heat and helping me create some awesome photos! Have a fun and safe 4th of July!

xx

Christiana + Katherine

Now that college is finally over and I have a little bit more free time, I'm pulling out the sessions from the spring semester I didn't have a chance to get edited and share. In February, I got the chance to meet back up with Christiana and Katherine after meeting them a month before at the Hub meet-up in Indy. We spent an hour or so exploring some cool places on the outskirts of downtown and ended with some perfect warm lighting and bright colors.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be traveling around the midwest exploring new places and I would love to meet some new people along the way! If you live in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio or Illinois -- head over to my contact page and let's set up a session!
